Student By-Laws
All students at Nkinga Institute of Health Sciences are expected to adhere to the following by-laws, which are designed to maintain discipline, order, and a conducive learning environment.
General Conduct
- Students must conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the values of the health profession.
- Respect for fellow students, staff, and visitors is mandatory at all times.
- All forms of harassment, bullying, and discrimination are strictly prohibited.
Academic Conduct
- Regular attendance of lectures, practicals, and clinical sessions is compulsory (minimum 80% attendance).
- Plagiarism and cheating during examinations will result in severe disciplinary action.
- Assignments and coursework must be submitted on time.
Campus Rules
- Students must carry their student ID at all times while on campus.
- Consumption of alcohol and use of drugs on campus is prohibited.
- Students must wear appropriate attire, including prescribed uniforms during clinical sessions.
- Visitors are only allowed during designated hours.
Disciplinary Measures
Violations of these by-laws may result in: verbal warning, written warning, suspension, or expulsion depending on the severity of the offence. The Disciplinary Committee handles all cases as per established procedures.
